I much prefer their curated space and overall policy. No one is supporting GOG blindly because they never played the game as aggressively as Epic is playing it, but that has always been THE platform to be on (if only they had more AAA devs on board). They want to bring everyone together with GOG Galaxy 2.0 and their support is actually good. So yea see, CDPR cares beyond their consumer-friendly policies. Few times are they actually helpful and they always feel like robots in their responses. I mention this cuz my experience with support from other companies has always been frustrating. They were nicer than they had to be in all of our exchanges. So I explained the situation and once again, quite promptly, I get a response saying they investigated further and manually changed my username to the one I wanted. I explained that it was showing up as available when I used it on account creation, but anytime I tried to create an account with that name, it said it was already in use, which was weird. They answered promptly (though I missed the reply by a few days due to my phone not notifying me of the email), saying that the name I wanted to use was already in use. To change your username there, you gotta contact support. Last week I decided I wanted to change my GOG username to match the username I've been using on all platforms and games. For instance, did you know you can refund games on GOG within 30 days of your purchase? No questions asked, no strings attached.Īnd I thought I'd share a brief story about how competent their support is.
